What is it?
Mandelbrot, Mandelbrodt or Mandelbread literally means Almond (mandel) bread (brot).
It is said that Eastern European Jews tasted Italian biscotti, and brought the recipe back to Eastern Europe. It was considered a great Sabbath dessert since it was made with oil and not butter.
Well, as a chef, guess what... everything tastes better with BUTTER.
